Chris White - Board Member

Mr. White is an award-winning news executive with a proven track record of driving growth in revenue, EBITDA, and shareholder value. He has overseen 9-figure P&L responsibilities and led corporate and geographic market roles, as well as initiating sales and operational transformations in digitally disrupted organizations.

He is most notably the former board member and managing partner of Lee Enterprises, where he demonstrated a strong track record in leading high-profile joint ventures with Madison Media Partners and Gannett, as well as managing post-acquisition initiatives for Berkshire Hathaway Media Group. He oversaw advertising, subscriptions, digital operations, distribution & circulation, finance, technology, legal, and community relations across up to 12 markets. With full P&L accountability, he managed approximately $300 million in annual revenue and $75 million in EBITDA. As Eastern Region President, he owned $200 million (54%) of local ad revenue, and $180 million (40%) as Western President. He also developed and executed the initial centralization plans to reduce advertising operating expenses and achieve accretion targets following the BHMG acquisition.

Lastly, he has a strong track record of making multi-million dollar decisions. This includes capturing revenue opportunities and operational synergies through digital transformation and the Berkshire Hathaway Media Group transaction, resulting in a $24 million EBITDA impact. He also identified underperforming product and service offerings, leading to an $11 million improvement, outsourced and centralized classified ad operations for a $7 million impact, and created a remnant ad product for non-Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) inventory, generating a $6 million impact.
