Landel Hobbs is a senior executive and board leader with extensive experience in corporate finance, operations, and M&A. Mr. Hobbs has held top-tier roles including Chairman, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Accounting Officer at some of the most influential media organizations of the past three decades.
Mr. Hobbs began his career at KPMG, where he conducted audits for clients across banking, oil & gas, and television broadcasting. In 1993, he became Chief Accounting Officer of Turner Broadcasting, a $6.1 billion media powerhouse, where he worked closely with visionary leaders such as Ted Turner.
In 2001, Mr. Hobbs joined Time Warner Cable as Chief Financial Officer, when the company generated $7.7 billion in annual revenue. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2005, where he led 40,000 employees through a period of significant expansion. Over his nine-year tenure, Time Warner Cable grew to $18.9 billion in revenue, achieving an average annual growth rate of 10.6% under his financial leadership and operational guidance.
Mr. Hobbs has served as Chairman of publicly traded companies, including ShopHQ, and advises a broad portfolio of public and private companies, private equity firms, hedge funds, venture capital groups, and startups. His focus spans residential and commercial telecommunications, media & entertainment, data & advertising, and emerging technologies.
